Unlike the Internet which is the physical network of computers, the World Wide Web is a service that lets people browse, connect, and share information through websites and links. It made the Internet user-friendly and is the foundation of today’s online world.

The Quiz – Who is the father, the creator, of the World Wide Web?

The Answer – Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist working at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Geneva, Switzerland, created the World Wide Web.
In the 1980s, CERN had thousands of researchers from around the world working on physics projects The sharing of information was extremely difficult.
In 1989, Tim Berners-Lee wrote a proposal titled “Information Management.” His idea was to use hypertext (clickable text that can link to other documents) combined with the internet (which already existed for networking computers).
