Hello Everyone –
The Schaumburg Amateur Radio Club is doing another Scouts on the air event on Monday, July 14th at 6:45p – 7:30p Central time. This event introduces the Scouts to Amateur Radio and gives them a chance to talk on the air.
We could use your help by being on the air and available to have a QSO with the Scouts!
At Monday’s event we will have 3 different stations active:
20m – 14.228 MHz via K9MSG (look for changes to freq based on QRM at top of K9MSG’s QRZ page)
DMR – Brandmeister Talkgroup 3100 via N9GUN
442.275 – K9IIK Repeater in Schaumburg via KD9WSV
We are expecting about 8 Scouts at the event plus their parents and the Scout leaders.
Please help us out and call in on 20 meters and/or DMR and make a QSO with the Scouts. Hopefully this event sparks an interest for them to learn more about Amateur Radio and get a license.

NEW FREQUNCEY ANNOUNCED – 7/13/2025
The Scouts on the Air will use 14.328 MHz instead of 14.228 MHz for 20 meters!
