Boy Scouts Intro to Ham Radio Event – Monday 10/20/2025

Hello All –

We are doing our last Scout event of the year on Monday evening, 10/20/2025.

The on-air portion of the event starts at about 7:25p Central Time. We will have two stations on the air:

* K9MSG on 7.227 MHz LSB with 100 watts and Vertical antenna
* N9GUN on DMR Brandmeister TalkGroup 3100 USA Bridge

We will also have the Scouts participate in a foxhunt drill finding a hidden tranmitter nearby.

Get on the air if you can and work some of the Scouts. We are anticipating 18 – 20 Scouts will be at the event.
