Ed/K8EA’s Fall, He’s OK

As some of you know, Ed, took a tumble on the stairs in his home yesterday morning. He went to the ER, and got checked out. He is OK, no broken bones or internal injuries. Below, is a text from Ed……

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I was very lucky. It was a really bad fall. Still lots of bruises and pain, especially in my shoulder where I’ve had three surgeries. Some oxycodone yesterday, but I’m gonna try to stay pretty much in the La-Z-Boy for a couple days.

“Thanks for offering to cover my net Monday Bob. Take it a day at a time but we got lots of bruises. Nevertheless, I was very very lucky.

I won’t be on the net at least today maybe not for a couple of days. Take care guys.”

  2. I thought I was the only one who took tumbled around here. Hope you are doing better Ed . Just take it easy and slow down my friend. I didn’t know about the fall until this morning when Ron gave an update on you.

  4. Hope for a speedy recovery! They do heal with time, that’s good. Just don’t be in a rush, let your body heal. Take care!

  8. Thanks to all. Better today than yesterday. Fell a flight of steps badly Friday about 5″00 AM. Could have been much worse. Landed on bad shoulder where I had three prior surgeries so that is my main concern now.

    I really appreciate the texts, calls, and prayers. Sorry I haven’t called back but doc said just take it easy for 24-48.

    Bob doing my Monday net. Thanks Bob. I am able to get around now. Only took one Oxy. Ibuprofen only now. Still going ahead with hip replacement on April 6. Now hopefully don’t need shoulder work. 73, all.
