I hope to see many of y’all at Hamcation in February. Seems like this Ham Radio event has become almost a Treasure Coaster’s unofficial meet up each year. I think we had maybe 25-30 attend the Thursday early evening dinner last year. For me it was some new faces along with seeing some long time friends. Check out their website, but the official dates are February 13th – 15th. We generally have a Thursday dinner meet up (this year would be maybe 4:30 on Thursday February 12th). Joe/K4PX has done a great job setting that up with our favorite Mexican Restaurant and has graciously volunteered to do it again this year. I already got one 8′ table in the swaps building and will bring the TC banner that Phil/K7KHZ had graciously made up for us. The table is “Swaps Table W23.” Cost was $85. So if you want to chip in (not at all necessary) feel free to send 5 or 10 bucks my way. It only has one chair. Last year I brought my Michigan Wolverines folding chair! Haha. I am not sure what else I can post for info, but if you’re planning to come you can comment or ask a question on this post. Google Hamcation for pertinent details, GPS location, etc. I think K4PX will let everyone know about the dinner location at an appropriate time. I suggest buying your ticket now to save a few bucks. Thanks Joe for arranging the Thursday dinner gathering. Y’all take a look at the restaurant address Joe/K4PX posted above and put it into your GPS. Here are a couple of cell numbers for Joe and me. But please use your own initiative to record the address of restaurant and details. Plus the details of table location which are available on the Hamcation website. There is no guarantee that Joe or I will be directing traffic for those who didn’t do their own look ups in advance :). Plus neither of us will be there for the full hamfest anyway.

Note that if you look on the Hamcation website for the exhibition hall layouts, our table will be labeled 023, not W23. It is west exhibition hall so I guess they just calling it W23.

Since I will only be at the Hamcation fairgrounds on Friday can I get a volunteer to retrieve the Treasure Coasters banner either late Saturday or Sunday. Whoever plans to be there those days. I don’t want to take it with me on Friday PM when I am preparing to return home.

Hamcation 2026 was great–a really nice meet up for many of the Treasure Coasters. It was great to see you all again and eye ball some new faces. I had a great time. spent $25 at the hamfest! Haha. We have a terrific family on the Treasure Coasters net. Thanks for the fine speech Bob, and for the stickers. We did have several people stop by and pick one up. Special thanks to Joe for setting up the Thursday dinner. All who helped hold down the table. Loved ron’s Tc Net shirt! Please don’t send any more contributions for Lowell’s flowers or the table. I think we are perhaps more than covered now. I signed up for the same table next year. Some regulars were missed but there’s always next year. All the best and 73s to my great friends on the net.
